FaceAI – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FaceAI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the FaceAI Analysis app (“App”). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2) Information We Collect

2.1 Face Data Special category

When you upload a photo for analysis, we process the following solely to provide core functionality:

Uploaded photos used for facial analysis.
AI-generated results (facial feature scores, feedback, and suggestions).
Analysis history (for subscribers only).
Optional user feedback to improve analysis quality.

Why we collect face data: To generate personalized analysis results, provide history for subscribers, and improve accuracy using aggregated, anonymized feedback.

Retention Summary

Free Users	Stored for 1 week after analysis, then permanently deleted.	Operational need to allow viewing shortly after analysis; we do not keep indefinitely.

We do not store face data indefinitely.

Third-Party Processing of Face Data

OpenAI – real-time AI processing of uploaded images to generate analysis results. OpenAI processes images to produce results and does not retain face data permanently for our use.
Firebase (Google) – secure cloud storage of photos, analysis results, and history during the retention periods shown above.

We do not sell, rent, or trade face data.

2.2 Account Information

Email address (optional, for account creation and communication).
Optional profile information you choose to provide.
Subscription status and payments handled by Apple’s App Store.

2.3 Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage information to improve performance, such as feature usage, performance metrics, and crash/error logs.

3) How We Collect Your Data

Direct Upload: Photos you submit for analysis.
User Input: Account information and feedback you provide.
Automatic Collection: App usage statistics and diagnostics.
Third-Party Services: Payments and subscriptions via Apple.

4) How We Use Your Information

Core Functionality: Provide facial analysis and personalized recommendations.

5) Third-Party Data Sharing

5.1 OpenAI

Purpose: Generate analysis results from your uploaded photo.
Reason for sharing: Essential to deliver AI-powered features.
Storage: Used for real-time processing; not retained by OpenAI for our use on a permanent basis.

5.2 Firebase (Google)

Purpose: Securely store photos, analysis results, and history.
Reason for sharing: Provide account features and history.
Storage: Retained only for the periods described in the Retention table.

5.3 Apple

Purpose: Subscription processing and payment management.
Storage: Payment data handled by Apple under its own policies.

All service providers are contractually bound to protect data with industry-standard security, comply with applicable privacy laws, and process data only for the specified purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

6) Data Retention & Deletion

Free Users: Face data deleted after 1 week.
Subscribers: Face data stored during subscription + 1 month, then deleted.
Account Deletion: Immediate and permanent deletion of all personal and face data.

How to Request Deletion

In-App: Use the account deletion option (Settings).

Timeline: Requests are processed within 30 days.

7) User Consent & Permissions

Photo Upload: You choose what to upload.
Account Creation: Optional and requires consent.
Subscription: Payment processing occurs only if you subscribe.

Permissions Requested

Camera Access: “Take a photo for facial analysis.”
Photo Library: “Select a photo for facial analysis.”

Withdrawing Consent

Stop uploading photos or using data-dependent features.
Delete your account in Settings.

8) Data Minimization

We only collect what is necessary to provide analysis. We do not collect location data, contacts, or unrelated personal information.

9) Your Rights

Access: Obtain a copy of your data.
Correction: Fix inaccuracies.
Deletion: Request erasure of your data.
Portability: Request transfer of your data.
Objection: Object to certain processing.
Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time.

Your data may be processed outside your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards and compliance with applicable data protection laws for such transfers.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in-app, via email, or through a prominent notice. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
